What Kind Of Spender Are You?

I found this cool infographic the other day and thought I would find out what kind of spender you are. If you’re a girl like me you probably love to shop. As cheap as I am I still love to shop, but I love a great deal even more.

I really need to get some new clothes for work. It’s really hot here and pants are not cutting it. I need some nice summer dresses that I can wear everyday and some really nice skirts. Anything else pretty much makes me feel sticky in this weather.

To top it off my AC broke the other day and I haven’t had a chance to take my car in to the mechanic. I’ll do that this week.

There are many different type or spenders out there and this chart describes 11 of them. Check them out!

I am definitely a haggler. I once called my banker to reverse 2 cents that was incorrectly charged to my account.  I will bargain to not only save $1 but 1 cent. It all adds up at the end of the day to me. When I go shopping I am not one to make a scene in the mall or anything like that, but I am sure not afraid to ask for a deal.

Scheduling my week around garage sales is not me. I actually couldn’t tell you the last time I’ve been to a garage sale. But that’s not to say I wouldn’t buy things at one, I just don’t see many in my area.

Some of my friends and family members probably do think I act like I am in a third world country. They haven’t said anything, but they have probably thought it. Ha ha

    I'm the passive avoidance shopper.

  2. Haha, I love that image! It's so awesome and funny. I'm a mix of the spendthrift and the passive avoidance shopper.

I tend to buy a lot of useless, stupid things or even things I have a ton of already. I like to be stocked up just in case, okay?! But I usually don't want to be bothered in stores. Leave me alone, I don't need help!

My mom is the ultimate coupon clipper. Whenever I visit her now(about once or twice a year), she stocks up my car as much as possible with various things. Toilet paper, shampoos, soaps, cereal, etc. The last time was in March and I'm still working my way through the paper towels alone and nevermind all of the soaps and things that should last me for five years… ;)

I am totally the online shopper. And yes, I do twitch if I haven't been connected for more than a few hours. I will keep reaching for my smart phone to check emails even if I know I don't have any. And all shopping is done online unless it really is cheaper locally…

I think I'm the passive avoidance shopper. I try not to go shopping so that I am not tempted!

  6. Love the infographic! I’d say a blend of the passive avoidance shopper and the guy who never shops, even though I am female. I think the main reason why I’m not a big fan of shopping is because I’m petite but have an athletic body, so nothing really fits properly. I’m not a fashionista either. My sister and my mom used to joke they would make me go on the show What Not to Wear, but I’m a little bit more fashionable now. Ha Ha.

This was one of the few infographics I've ever seen that I liked! I'm definitely an online shopper… Actually I just ordered some school clothes for my son, and after briefly considering driving an hour both ways to the mall, I quickly decided it was easier to spend 20 minutes finding them online. Technology is wonderful!

I'm a combination of a couple of those, I avoid shopping but will haggle on price for major purchases!
